Dispenser Location Data Instructions

There are 5 steps for the Dispenser to register with NHRA-MVC and be able to submit master data to the NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub. The first four steps are pre-requisites and must be completed before loading product information to the NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub. The first three steps are pre-requisites to the NHRA-MVC registration process for Dispensers

1. Collect the required Identification Numbers from GS1.
  • You must have already registered with GS1 and been given your Global Location Number (GLN) and your Global Company Prefix (GCP)
2. Collect the Required Identification Numbers from NHRA
  • You must have already registered with NHRA and been given your Supplier Identification Number and you need to know your NHRA Supplier Facility Catagory
3. Complete the Participation Agreement Contract with NHRA-MVC
  • You wil be provided with a Client ID number from NHRA-MVC.
4. Select the Registration Link for Dispensers, enter your information as a Dispenser, and pay your registration fees.
  • The required registration fee schedule is available on the NHRA-MVC website www.NHRA-MVC.bh
  • You cannot proceed beyond this point until the payment is successfully processed by NHRA-MVC.
5. Register your Manufacturing locations with NHRA-MVC through the NHRA-MVC Website.
STEP 1Pre-requisite Collect the Required Identification Numbers from GS1

To register products with NHRA-MVC the MAH will need to identify all products by their assigned Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTINs) and its manufacturing site must be identified using properly formatted GS1 identifiers. All MAHs must be registered with GS1 and have a Global Location Number (GLN) and Global Company Prefix (GCP) assigned. Make sure you know the GS1 Global Location Number (GLN) and Global Company Prefix (GCP) assigned to the manufacturing location of each product.

STEP 2 – Pre-requisite Collect the Required Identification Numbers from NHRA

Registration applications must be submitted and approved by the NHRA to permit pharmaceutical products to be sold in Bahrain. Payment must be made to the NHRA at the time of registration. The NHRA registration process contains all of the necessary MAH location information.

STEP 3 – Pre-requisite Complete the Participation Agreement Contract with NHRA-MVC

All MAH’s, Distributors / Wholesalers and Dispensers must complete a Participation Agreement contract with the NHRA-MVC before the MAH registration can be completed.

STEP 4 – Pre-requisite Register as a Dispenser

Once the Dispenser has completed its NHRA and GS1 registrations, the Administrative Contact must log into the NHRA-MVC website and select Registration Link for the Dispenser Registration. Your NHRA-MVC Participation Agreement contract (STEP 3 above) must be fully executed before the registration will be finalized by NHRA-MVC.

STEP 5 – Register Your Dispenser Locations

Once the Dispenser has completed Steps 1 through 4, the various dispensing locations must be registered with NHRA-MVC. The MAH must upload the dispenser locations to the NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub to complete the registration. The Technical Point of Contact should use the Master Data Load process to load the Dispenser locations for the parent Dispenser. The Technical POC will log into the NHRA-MVC website and select the Load Products link. Upload the list of Dispenser locations to the NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub so they can be linked to the parent Dispenser organization.

Dispenser Location Validity Checks

Each successfully loaded dispenser location will be initially set to INACTIVE status until the verification process can be completed. The NHRA’s NHRA-MVC Administrative team will verify your company and confirm the intended dispenser locations are in good standing with the PPR.

  • The NHRA’s NHRA-MVC Administrative team will validate the dispenser locations and PPR. The process and steps taken by the NHRA’s NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub Administrative team to validate the information are highly confidential and will not be disclosed to protect the integrity of the process and avoid supplier/dispenser information tampering.

With successful confirmation the status of the dispenser locations will be set to ACTIVE in the NHRA-MVC Traceability Hub.
